Confession: what I enjoy most about the Super Bowl isn’t the game, the halftime show or even the commercials.  It’s the food, hands down.  There, I said it!

Football may not be my cup of tea personally, but the party vibe and awesome snacks definitely make it bearable (that and a stack of magazines!). Chili, wings and nachos are game day necessities, and nothing pairs better with them than cold beer.  To avoid feeling weighed down by all those indulgent eats, it helps to have a few lighter options in the mix as well.

I’ve compiled a list of healthier dips, smaller bites and main dishes to inspire you to lighten up your game day feast next Sunday.  Included in the mix are a few of my own recipes along with those from some of my favourite bloggers.  Enjoy!
