12 guilt-free Halloween recipes for a crowd!

Halloween is a time for candy – there’s no doubt about it. But if you’ve got a handful of parties and potlucks lined up in the days leading up to Halloween, it’s worthwhile to have a few lighter options up your sleeve. You and your guests will appreciate the breath of fresh air.  Plus, making a few healthier choices now will leave room for the real treats on Halloween night!

These spooky snacks are from some of my favourite food bloggers, as well as my non-blogging coworkers who have made tons of creative Halloween treats for our office potluck the past few years. The photos from our office potluck don’t have recipes associated with them, but they’re straightforward enough to make on your own (e.g., devilled eggs, guacamole, veggies and dip).  It’s all about the creativity when it comes to these tasty treats!

Halloween guacamole

Halloween guacamole – make a batch of your favourite guac and serve in a small jack-o-lantern

Devlish devilled eggs

Devilish devilled eggs – make a classic devilled eggs recipe, swapping in Greek yogurt instead of full-fat mayo, and serve with bell pepper “horns” and celery “beards”

Creepy crawly veggies and dip

Creepy crawly veggies and dip – decorate a basic veggie platter with spiders (faux ones and some made of black olives)

Halloween eyeball salad

Halloween eyeball salad – toss together greens and bocconcini/olive “eyeballs”

    What fun! We are making one eyed monster cookies with fangs…. Guess thats not really healthy, but the kids love them. Thanks for sharing some extra ideas.
